Our Care Services
Our West Sussex care services include two care homes providing both residential and nursing care. This means that whatever the person’s individual needs, we can provide the care they require. This applies even when their care needs increase and makes it possible for a couple to stay together, even if they need a different level of care.
We are committed to providing the physical, social and emotional care that each individual requires and to supporting our clients to remain as independent as they can.
Our Care Home Facilities
Although our care homes are different in terms of size, age and layout, they are both designed to facilitate the provision of high-quality individual care services in a comfortable and homely environment. The majority of our rooms are single and have en-suite facilities, Wi-Fi access and television points. The call system means that there is help available at any time of the day or night.
Our Care Staff
In order to provide the highest quality of care, we emphasise the importance of staff training and staff development. In addition to ensuring that our care staff complete a professional qualification, they are selected for their personal qualities such as empathy and warmth.
Everyone in our care is treated as a unique individual, and we plan your care with your individual needs and preferences in mind. We will consult with you and family members you trust to ensure that we address all your needs and wishes in your care plan. This will be reviewed regularly and will be updated to reflect any changes in your circumstances.
The care home services offered in both our homes in West Sussex include residential care, nursing care, dementia care and respite care.
Our residential care residents are supported to remain as independent as they can with the help they need always available. If assistance is needed with personal care tasks such as bathing, using the toilet or moving around the home, this will be provided by trained care assistants who will respect your need for privacy and dignity at all times. Regular nutritious meals are provided, with personal preferences and special diets taken into account. We also offer a range of activities that you may choose to enjoy and really aim to make you feel totally at home.
Providing nursing home services in our homes means that if you need support from a qualified nurse who is on duty twenty-four hours a day, this can be provided. For people with a condition that is likely to deteriorate, such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease or Huntington’s disease, nursing care should be considered. For anyone requiring postoperative nursing care or who is recovering following a stroke, having qualified nurses on duty all the time can offer extra assurance.
Anyone living with dementia will need care from staff who are specially trained to deliver the care they need. We are able to meet the needs of many of our residents who have problems with their memory and have some other symptoms of dementia, although we are not specifically registered to provide dementia care.
Our care services also include care on a short-term basis for anyone who needs a break from caring for a loved one at home.
